How did you get through your unpaid internship?

I am about to embark on a gnarly journey this fall to complete my Spanish PK-12 license. And in order to do that, I must complete a sixteen week semesters' worth of an unpaid student-teaching internship. If anyone has gone through anything similar or exactly what I am about to do, please share your experiences. Namely, how did you take care of yourself financially? This is tricky for anyone, and I am all ears as to what people have to say about their recollections. Thanks!!!!
