If God was real would the world governments unite in an effort to remove such a powerful threat to all life?

I sure hope they would. According to the ravings of a crackpot(Revelations) the Antichrist will unite the world in eternal peace till Jesus comes up and tries to disrupt it, and basically JESUS leads the world into conflict and then kills almost everyone. God will put humans into wine presses and make "lakes of blood"-Revelations.
